David Edmondson, "I was a waiter in Los Angeles for far longer than I ever expected to be. My favorite dining scene is in LA Story with Steve Martin – the meal is finished and everyone is ordering coffee. When its Steve’s character’s turn to order, he asks for a “half a double decaffeinated half-caf with a twist of lemon”, and then everybody else has to add that they too want a twist of lemon. The waiter in me didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry because it was just so LA."
